At Good Morning Children Ltd we believe that if children are engaged from the moment they enter the classroom this can help set the standard for the rest of the day. Early morning activities are a good medium for achieving this.

However, we know that teachers have a full workload and may not have a lot of time to prepare early morning activities in the same detail as they would use for the rest of their lessons. So our aim is to work all week to provide high quality, short, easy-to-manage yet mentally stimulating activities for your children that you can use as early morning work during registration (or during those odd moments you need to fill, before the next lesson or home-time). Some of the resources may even be useful as lesson starters.

Many of our resources have been designed to develop enquiry skills by using observation, questioning, reasoning, making links and capitalising on what they already know. Some of our resources have been designed to give the children regular practice in computation and sentence building skills. We will rotate the resources so that although we are providing a variety of activities, we are also giving the children familiarity by regularly repeating resources of the same format.

If you have an interactive whiteboard in your classroom it will make the use of the resources a lot easier. Even if you still use chalk you’re welcome here and we are sure you and your children will enjoy the material we provide.

Good Morning Children Ltd is run by Mike and Chris. Between them they have about 50 years of teaching experience! Mike still works on supply at his favourite school and has helped with Key Stage 2 SATs booster classes during the past few years. Chris spent the last 3 years as SENCo at her school. She has now taken early retirement after 19 years in the same school to work on the website.
